As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published in its current form or substantially similar form, nor has the manuscript been concurrently submitted to another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point Times New Roman font; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the body text at the appropriate points.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Submission Guidelines.
  • The reference list is complete and formatted as per the Harvard Style of Referencing.

All manuscripts must be submitted to IJIF by Online Submission.

Please note that Authors and Co-authors are limited to a maximum of two article submissions within a period of 12 months.

Authors are informed that a Publication Fee is applicable for publication of accepted articles. Please read more under the section Publication Fee

Before submitting your article, please take note of the following:

Author Responsibilities

  • Authors should take full responsibility for all aspects of their work, including originality of their work, accuracy of information/data or research integrity (e.g. cite all related references, maintain accurate records of data, etc.).
  • Authors should respond swiftly to queries during the publication process.
  • Authors should treat all communications with the journal editor as confidential until an editorial decision has been made.
  • Authors should recognize all individuals who have contributed to the work and exclude anyone who has not contributed to the research or anyone who do not wish to be associated with the research.
  • Authors should acknowledge any financial assistance received from funding agencies in their research work.  
  • Authors should declare at the time of submission of their articles if a substantial part of the work has been previously published, for example in conference proceedings, on online institutional repositories, on specific websites, or any other forms of publication. They should submit a copy of such related materials to the Journal (if so required).
  • Authors should get written permissions for the use of any material in their articles that has been created by a third party (e.g. reproducing a figure/table, or publishing a conference paper, or reproducing part of a book or part of a Journal article).
  • Authors should declare any conflict of interest at the time of article submission.
  • Authors should inform the Journal editor or publisher in case any significant error is detected in their publication and submit an erratum, addendum, corrigendum notice, to be published or retract the paper altogether if it is necessary.

Authorship Criteria

Authors should confirm that all the names which have been mentioned as authors in the article meet the following authorship criteria:

IJIF subscribes to the authorship principles outlined by the International Council of Medical Journal Editors (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html). Accordingly, authors must meet all of the following four criteria:

  • Made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
  • Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
  • Final approval of the version to be published; AND
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
