Even after publication, research articles can be updated, corrected or retracted. It is important that readers be alerted to any changes made in an article so that their citations relate to the latest version of the article. Crossmark is an important and unique initiative by CrossRef that allows readers quick and easy access to the current status of an article along with additional metadata related to the editorial process.

ISRA International Journal of Islamic Finance is committed to maintaining the completeness of its publication records. It applies the Crossmark button on the first page of each of its published articles as well as on the article page on its website so that readers can access the current version of the articles and be alerted to any changes, if and when they occur. Readers can thus access the latest record of an article and any updated information at the click of the Crossmark icon.

Correction to an Article

Corrections in an article are published to alert readers of any updated information (in the form of an addendum), publishing error (erratum) or author error (corrigendum) that have been noted in the published version of the article. The changes made in the article are then published in an Addendum, Erratum or Corrigendum Notice. The latest version of the article that incorporates the changes made is also available on the Journal’s website.

Retraction
In the case of any significant error detected in a published article or there is clear evidence of research misconduct or unethical behaviour, articles may be retracted from the online archives of the Journal following the publication of the article.

In the event of a retraction, a Retraction Notice will be published to provide an explanation of the matter. The citation details of the article will still be made available on the article webpage, and the PDF version of the retracted article will be marked as retracted on all pages.
